The Council consider that the moment is now opportune
to negotiate for reservations in this area, so as to ensure
that no new works are undertaken which could prejudice in any
way flying facilities of the site. They therefore venture to
suggest for Mr. Amery's consideration that the opinion of the
local government should be sought as to whether the suggested
reservations should now be effected and as to whether the local
government would be willing to bear the cost of obtaining these
reservations.
A photograph with explanatory note is attached to
indicate the extent of the necessary reservations.
A copy of this letter has been sent to the Admiralty
and War Office.
